Virtual Memory - Multiple Physical Drives

I am trying to figure out what is the best configuration for virtual
memory. I have three hard drives, two internal, 1 external. The first
internal is split into 3 partitions, each with a drive letter. One of these
is C:, which windows xp home is installed on. The other internal drive and
the external have one partition/one drive letter.

Right now, the virtual memory rests on the first physical drive, on the
partition which C: resides. It is set to windows managed size.

Is this ok, or is there another train of thought here?

Why does windows give me an option to put virtual memory on *all* drives??

The page file is best to keep off youre system hd (C:),"no page file" setting,
however it also should be 1 1/2 times youre physical ram.Youre best bet is
to set 1 partition per drive to "let system manage" setting more per drive is
not benificial at all.If youre other hds get the 1 1/2 of ram youre ok,if
not use
C: hd.Get more info at kb555223

I see that Andrew E. - one of our resident trolls - is back with his
faulty advice. See this article by the late MVP Alex Nichol instead of
wasting any time on Andrew:
