Hi,
I get error message g:\ is not accessible, access is denied whenever I try
to open a virtual drive. This includes virtual cd drives as well as usb
drives such as digital camera's, usb sticks, etc.

I am administrator account, i've been through everything I possible could,
and would consider myself a fairly saavy windows user. Something is very
wrong with this, i'm guessing possibly in a security policy somewhere, but I
have been through everything I could think of.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Go to Start/Run, and type : GPEDIT.MSC Local Computer Policy> Computer Configuration> Windows Settings> Security Settings> Local
Policies> Security Options> System Objects: Default owner for objects created by members of the Administrators Group. Set this to
"Administrators group" instead of "Object Creator".

Hey Mark

I ran through and did your suggestion, when i reset I got a BSOD, couldn't
get into windows, had to grab a restore point through windows repair command
prompt.
When I got back into windows restore no longer works and some of my drivers
were fudged.
Anyways its probly not because of that change but i installed SP1a as well.
This same thing happened when i tried to install sp2, there's some sort of
conflict with my setup now that I can't figure out. I had SP2 installed when
i first built this computer.
Anyways when I get the energy I'll try your solution with a reboot, but
without a reboot it didn't make any difference.
Thanks though.
