Virtual drive

Hi,

I installed games from ISO file and to be able to play that, the file should
always be mounted into the virtual drive. Question, is it possible to make it
like playing it without mounting it into the virtual drive? What do I mean
is, is there any trick to do it that way, without virtual drive needed? :D

If the application requires the CD be available to read, wouldn't you
think that it has to be available to the application to read? This isn't
a Windows XP requirement, or problem.

I think that is more impractical...

Yup, there is a way, by using NO CD cracks (unauthorized and illegal).
They are used commonly by cheap gamers who download their games off of
torrent sites. While this does work, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT TO TRY
IT. These cracks sometimes never work and almost 75% of game cracks
are some sort of virus. Try it, and risk reinstalling Windows. Why
don't you just burn the ISO to a disc and use the disc or just use the
real disc (bet you dont have one because you downloaded the commerical
game from a torrent site :p)???

Actually some No CD cracks have practical uses, I use them on many games I
own and have paid for. It prevents me from having to swap CD's all the time,
thus reducing the possibility I'm gonna damage one, and for some games it
speeds up loading as it stops the game from accessing the CD drive to
confirm it's a valid disc/install. I have the right as a consumer to make
backup copies of my CD's for personal use, since the mfg's see fit to copy
protect them, thus preventing me from making a backup copy, I use no CD
cracks to help save my CD's.

Thanks David. I think that's the main purpose of creating images such as ISO
files.
To eliminate the inconvenience of using CD and to back it up which is the
most important.
