Virtual CloneDrive
http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html

Virtual CloneDrive works and behaves just like a
physical CD/DVD drive, however it exists only virtually.
Image files generated with CloneDVD or CloneCD
can be mounted onto a virtual drive from your hard-disk
or from a network drive and used in the same manner
as inserting them into a normal CD/DVD drive.

"Supports all common image formats such as ISO, BIN, CCD"

how about .nrg (nero) files?

Well, that's all nice and stuff, but it's shareware, not freeware. You
can get Daemon Tools instead. It is freeware, but has optional adware
for financial support. You can get it at http://www.daemon-tools.cc/

Hello,
Well, that's all nice and stuff, but it's shareware, not
freeware.

I have not found, why you mark it as shareware. And the link
I knew about this product still states it as "free software"
(see navigation tab):

Nice term, "optional adware" ;-) I think you should be more
precise, it's a toolbar, you can decide not to install during
setup and it's not needed for the application itself.

Hello,
"Supports all common image formats such as ISO, BIN, CCD"

how about .nrg (nero) files?

not sure, but I remember that DaemonTools had license problems,
so they support .nrg only if Nero's ImageDrive is also active
(which makes DaemonTools mostly unneeded for this case).

Thorsten

Did you visit the page for the "Virtual CloneDrive" ?

On the middle of the page under "Features" is say
"Virtual CloneDrive is freeware, you may use it at no cost."

Why does one have to register after 21 days?

Do I need a licence key after 21 days?

Although on the first page of the link it says freeware, when you
clicked the Download
it brings you to another page that says:

"You may download and evaluate our products for free for a period of 21
days.
After this time you must register the products to continue using them.
Purchase a license key now "

That is for the other programs on the download page
