Hi,
I'm looking for something that will emulate an audio CD from mp3 files,
WITHOUT creating hte intermediate image. Does it exist?

Thanks

What are you trying to do? The MP3s themselves - when played - are
emulating an audio CD as they are being decoded to wave when played just
as they would be when burned to an audio CD.

I'm trying to make a direct conversion MP3->NetMiniDisc.
Sony's SonicStage (which allows that kind of conversion) is a piece of
crap (freezes up continuosly), while SimpleBurn (used to make CD->MD)
works fairly well.
I've tried several CD-emus (Imagedrive, VirtualCD, Daemon tools,
Star-something), but they always require a CD image to be created.

Whenever I want to make a CD from my mp3, I use CDBurnerXP Pro.
Although I've never tried it, I'll bet you dollars for doughnuts that
there's an option to simply leave the converted cda's on the harddisk.
