Virgin Media v+ box

I got a Virgin Media + box with the built in harddrive.


Can i copy the video clips from it to a pc or laptop?

There is a usb socket on the back of it.

shame because there a copy to dvd or VCR on it.



Come in handy incase the harddrive ever fails.

well you could take out that hard drive plug it into your pc
but you'll realise it's encrpyted companies like Virgin are good at encrypting!

but of course it'll damage your warranty on the box there's more chance of a fat lady singing than the drive failing
but don't worry too much IT'S ONLY TV PROGRAMS! You could download them from anywhere really.

I could find them dead easy on the net for free.

Try to copy them to my vcr but it would,nt work for some reason, just got a blank screen.

There alot on the bbc iplayer i want but they have DRM on them.
