Viewing Windows explorer folders in Outlook

Is it possible to mount a Windows Explorer folder into Outlook.

A group of my users, working on common projects, want to share the
emails they receive, but as we maintain a relatively small mailbox
limit it cannot be done by simply sharing their inboxes and sub-
folders.
Obviously pst files are out of the question as they can only be opened
by one user at a time.

The simplest and cheapest method of putting emails into a single
shared location is to save them into a shared folder on the network
and this is certainly a viable option, but the users want a way of
viewing the shared emails in Outlook and a quicker way of saving the
emails.

I was hoping there would be a way of Mounting a folder into Outlook so
the shared email folder would appear in the Folder List at least, but
this doesn't seem to exist.
Can anyone shed some light on whether this is possible?

Not possible but you can put a shortcut to the Explorer folder in the
Shortcuts Navigation.
Public Folders could also be an option.

Is it possible to mount a Windows Explorer folder into Outlook.

Only in Outlook 2002 and earlier and then only on the Outlook bar. It
cannot appear in the Folder List.

Because it is received in Outlook, makes sense, right? Last week I received
an AutoCAD file and couldn't open it because I didn't have AutoCAD
installed. Stupid Outlook! Now that I have the AutoCAD file on a memory
stick, I still can't open it. Will call support for memory stick tomorrow
and otherwise I go to the shop and ask for a refund or get a freakin' iPOD;
I heard they work.
