Viewing source instead of WYSIWYG

I have a file that contains embedded wav files and some
Http link.

The problem is that sometime when I open the file I get
the WORD source code such as EMBEDDED ... instead of the
the WYSIYG view. I funny thing is if I close and open it
enough I finally get the WYSIYG view. I cannot figure out
why it started doing this


Any ideas

I am using Microsoft WORD 2000 (9.0.5121 SR-1)

Sounds like you've mistakenly turned ON the Show Field
Codes option.

....click

Tools | Options | View: and clear the Field Codes checkbox.
