viewing/playing within folder

Hi - hope this hasn't been asked Wondering how can I view and play files
within explorer. This feature was available in W2K and can't seem to locate
it on W-XP. I am able to view a frame under details and also thumbnails.
However unable to display MP3s and have them play within explorer.

Hope it makes sense and is clear as mud

Hi,
In the folder, click view>explorer bar and put a check beside media. You can
then select the mp3 file and play it from within explorer.

Hmm tried that - thanks for the suggestion - however find that I have other
files not in my Video/Music folders as I would like to play those as well.
Any other ideas on how to use the old W2K function

You can turn on the media explorer bar in any folder.
