Viewing JPG's in the preview pane

Running Windows XP Home and I just upgraded to SP2.

Before the upgrade I could open a JPG file and display it in the preview
pane just by clicking on the header. Now I need to jump through several
hoops to open the file in a separate window.

Is there a way to get back the old functionality? I recollect this same
thing happened when I upgraded from OE5 to OE6 and there was a registry hack
to fix it but I can't locate my old file on it.

TIA

Joe

Joe,

XP comes with OE/IE 6 so that wouldn't apply anyway. As for what you are
remembering it sounds as though you are confusing web view with what is now
called Common Tasks.

No, that wasn't it. That issue had something to do with OE6 not supporting
the slide show feature.

Turns out that all I had to do was uncheck the "Read all messages in plain
text" option under Tools/Options/Read. Also, The reason I posted twice was I
didn't see my first post and it was over a day after I had posted it. Now I
see them both. Probably an issue on my end.

Thanks for your reply

Joe
