Viewing JPEG formats on DVD Player

Just purchased a Panasonic DVD player to view my digital
photos on my TV. Player works great but I'm trying to
find out if there is a way to burn the photos I want to a
CD and have them play in the order I wish. Seems now
that the DVD jumps from photo to photo out of the order
that the photos are on the CD. Will numbering the photos
in the order I want to view them do the trick?
Appreciate any input!

I don't have an exact answer for you, but I have an alternate
suggestion. I just made two DVD "movies" with still photos using a
really nice program called Arcsoft DVD Slide Show. Here's their
website: http://www.arcsoft.com/en/products/videosoftware.asp

I scanned photos, saved them as .jpg's, had an .mp3 for background
music, and made the slide show in the Arcsoft program. You can then
play the DVD's in any DVD player or on your computer. It came out quite
nicely, and this sort of thing might suit you too.
