Viewing IMAP folders in Personal Folders

I recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 and have a question regarding
IMAP e-mail. I have three IMAP accounts, and am wondering if it is possible
to move the individual inboxes into a combined inbox, preferably in Personal
Folders, instead of below them, in separate groups for each account? Anyone
that has used Apple Mail probably understands what I am asking. Just all
three accounts, combined into one local inbox. I know that if I setup three
POP3 accounts, it would work like that, but I prefer IMAP because I access my
e-mail from different computers and devices, as well as using webmail. If
someone could help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can't without moving the messages physically out of the IMAP store
to the local PST file (or copying them) or collecting them in one IMAP
Inbox via rules. However, that probably defeats the purpose of you
having three different IMAP accounts in the first place.
I have four IMAP accounts myself, and I just keep the Inboxes in my
favorite folder list and switch between them. Note there is one annoying
thing with Outlook 2007. It won't show you that there are unread
messages in an IMAP account until you actually switched to it once. So
let's say you open Outlook and have it default to the first Inbox. You
won't see whether you have unread messages in the other two unless you
at least once went into a folder in each of the other two accounts. You
can probably write a macro though that does this for you.

Thank you. This answers my question, even though it was the answer I was
fearing. I can live with it, though, it just takes getting used to.

I noticed what you mentioned about having to visit different IMAP accounts
to see unread messages. The odd thing is that it seems intermittent. There
are a couple instances -- only a couple, mind you -- where I have opened
Outlook, watched the "checking mail" status, and then two or three of my IMAP
accounts show unread e-mails in them. The only way to be certain, though, is
to click on the Inbox of each IMAP account and check manually.

Thanks again for your assistance.
