Dave Horne

I've been an Outlook user for many years so please forgive this dumb
question.

The situation is this - under Folder List I have a block of four Months in
view - two months over two months - a block of four months.

For the life of me I can not reconfigure that so I just see two months side
by side leaving more vertical room for all my Folders. I can not drag the
'window bar' (or whatever you call it) to resize it like I would any other
window. If I click on the ^ (there's two of them) I succeed in enlarging
the display of months to show even more.

At the moment it's either a block of 4 months, a block of ten months or
nuthin'. This is not a major issue but how can I go back to simply viewing
two months side my side (in the Folder List area on the left)? Thanks.

One more thing - and this is meant as a suggestion ...

It would be great if the Folder List, to include Months and All Folders,
could be locked in place. If I click on Inbox to bring up the Send \
Receive 'button' (which really should be there all the time and not just
when bring up a 'mail' item), the entire view of the Folder List changes -
the Months disappear and return only when I click once again on Calendar in
my All Folders \ All Outlook Items \ Personal Folders.

All this moving of Months and Folders on the left part of the program is
really unnecessary I feel.

While I love Outlook, I'm surprised that there are still things that need to
be improved and I personally feel these are basic issues. This is more of a
suggestion than a complaint. Thanks, Dave

unless you have a lot of folders in the list, you'll probably always have 4
in a sq if you want 2 side by side. You can get 2 stacked if you make the
pane smaller (drag left). you can move the calendars to the to-do by showing
it... you'll have better luck with just two side by side on that side.

Try the folder list - Ctrl+6 it shows all folders together.
