Viewing AVI in PowerPoint 2003

We are attempting to insert a short AVI in a PowerPoint 2003 presentation on
a computer running Windows XP Media Center SP2. We do not have any problems
inserting or viewing the slide with the AVI on the computer or when playing
the presentation. The problem occurs when we try to project the presentation
on our Sharp PG-C30XU projector. When we try to animate the AVI slide the
screen goes black. We have tried the connecting the computer with the
monitor cable and an S-video cable.

We assumed the problem was in the projector, but we can to view the AVI in
Media Player thru the projector. So we are at a loss.

Sorry this was so long. If anyone has suggestions or need more info please
let me know.

The problem is not the video and not the project, but how Windows processes
the video for output to an external monitor/projector. Check here for lots

Thanks Troy. That worked. All we had to do was reduce the level of the
hardware acceleration.
