viewing attachments inline....HELP!!

I've got a real quandary here. I've just upgraded to Office
2000, and when in Outlook, I can't view any attachments
inline (they usually come in as attachments). In Outlook
Express, they were attached as well as inline. Now Outlook
doesn't do that, and there is no tab anywhere in the
Options, etc as to be able to check that attachments my be
viewed inline. On my MAC (running Office v.x), Entourage
DOES have that option.

Is this lack of inline viewing "the nature of the beast"
for 2000?? I haven't had any luck searching the KBs...

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Outlook can only display images "inline" if the sender used HTML or Rich
Text format for the message and embedded the image into the body. If the
image was sent as an attachment, you will always receive it as an
attachment.

Are there any plans to fix this "problem"? I just set-up outlook 2000, but if I always have to click to open to view something I guess I will go back to outlook express. I just don't understand why the product that most would consider an upgrade, has things missing that the lesser version has. Why would they take out so many things. 1. viewing attachments inline. 2. the ability to the order of your columns, and have it only be in that folder not a system wide change. I have found that I have to go in an change the view on each folder. Going back to outlook express or netscape is looking pretty good right about now.
