Viewing and editing photos with different programs?

I like the Windows fax viewer for viewing photos but I edit them with
Digital Image Suite.

Is there any way of making Windows (XP SP2) open photos for viewing with the
viewer but open them for editing with Digital Image Pro?

Right-click -> Preview
Right-click - > Edit

Not exactly the way you would like. You can try one of a few things and see
what you like.
(1.) Right click on the file select "Open With" and Digital Image Pro as the
editor (or any other editor for that matter). THis way the double click
operation can be used for the viewer.
(2) If you have Digital Image Pro you may also have Digital Image Library.
If so that has a viewer and while viewing has a edit function that will
being you to the Digital Image Pro editor by default but can be changed to
bring you to any other editor.
