Hi ASCN
Clicking View Source doesn't do anything anymore.
I then try to get into Tools Internet Options and it says "This
operation has been canceled due to restrictions on this computer."
I tried to download IE6 again, but on installation it says the running
version is newer than the downloaded version.
I'm sure I've been hit by some kind os spyware or something - though
running spyware removal software gives nothing...
Anyway I can get my settings back? At the minimum I need Vew Source
back.
Try the following and see if it helps.
First:
It is likely you have parasites, spyware, adware, malware, or hijackware on
your system causing the problem, which your antivirus will not detect, as it
does not have the same definitions. Download and install, then you *MUST*
update the programs prior to running to be sure they have the latest
definitions, then run the programs below. They are free and very effective.
Be sure to run both SpyBot and Adaware, as what one does not detect the
other may.

Before trying to remove spyware, download a copy of LSPFIX from
the URL below - some malware may kill your internet connection when it is
removed, this program will enable you to regain your connection.

If you still can not use the Source, try the following:
Can't View 'Source ' - Courtesy of Don Varnau:
First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content.) It's often recommended that the TIF
folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)
If you have a shortcut to Notepad.exe on the desktop, rename it.
Some people have reported that Quick View Plus can cause this
