Using WinXP Pro SP1.

When I open my control panel it opens with the "details" view. I
change it to "icons" the way I like it but every time after a reboot
it changes back to the "details" view.

How can I make the view that I choose to be permanent?

Thank you in advance!

Kelly's site, below. "F". Scroll to...
"Folder Views - Keep Settings"

Open a window on a folder, set it up in all respects just as you would
like by default. Then go to its Tools - Folder Options - View, ensure
that 'remember each folder's view settings' is checked, then click
'Apply to All' at the top of the page
