'view' options when opening a folder from an application

Hello, when I open a folder from an application to browse for files, I
would like that 'details' view is used permanently and not the default
'list' view, is this possible to set this permanently and also if its
sorted by 'modified' date - XP SP2.

Hi

No, unfortunately it isn't possible to make the dialogs default to
Details view except by using a third-party program such as File-Ex:
