My apologies I know this is the wrong group but I tried twice in the
microsoft.public.word.general group but got no answers.

After saving Word 2000 file as HTML page can't view "HTML Source"
because
of error message saying ms word cannot start HTML editor and asking if
I want to install. I am then asked to insert the Microsoft SR-1 disc,
which I don't have. If I insert my Office 2000 disc 1 I get the error
that "path microsoft word cannot be found....." My configuration is
XP home, Office 2000, FrontPage 2000 (purchased separately) and Works
6 which includes Word 2000. I have searched in Google & MS Knowledge
Base but can't find anything about this. Any help much appreciated.

Regards,
Andre

That group should be killed in mercy before it suffers more agony.

If you installed office from the 2k-SR1 CD's then you will need them
to do the option installation. You could remove office and re-install
from the 2K disks, then do the SR1 downloadable update.
