View double spaced in Normal Style Word 2007

When a document is displayed the print layout and the print preview views
display the lines as double spaced. The style is the normal style with single
spacing. When the doc prints it prints single space.

I want the normal view and print view to display the actual single spacing.
How can I set the view to do this?

The system was upgraded from Word 2003 where it all work fine.

I think I found it. The next sytle option in the right of Normal (on the
Home menu) is No Spacing. When that is set all the views display as single
spaced.

There is also the spacing button on the ribbon>home>middle box the one with
the vertical arrow and lines ;)
