After standby the screen is split. The bottom half is on
top and top half on the bottom.

i hate to say this, but for some reason some computer have
problems with standby and hiberation mode. The best way
to try to fix this is to disable standby, that can be done
in the Control Panel under Power. i would recommend just
turning the monitor off, when the computer is not in use,
the monitor draws the most power.
