vidoe garphics and color dont work..WINme

I dont know how it happend but the color's in my pictures, and videos dont work because my computer wont allow me to
change the color from 16 to 256,or high color (16 bit).it just keeps telling in order for the color to take affect i must restart, but i restart the color wont change. I would really appriciate the help.
 
This is a Win2000 group... not a WinME group...

Regardless, have you tried to reinstall your video card drivers?
