Video Sluggish over network??

I have a folder of video files that I am sharing over my network. When
I try playing these video over the network on a different computer, the
video is very sluggish. Are there things that I can do to make the
video play more fluid.

It's a wireless network. (I probably should have said that.)

What type of speed are you seeing with your wireless network. (right
clickr over the wireless network icon in your task bar and open the
status). 1MB, 6 MB, 11 MB, etc?
