Video only plays when on desktop

I've got video that plays fine in windows media player,
and plays fine when I keep it on the desktop and import
it into PPT, but when I have the video in the same folder
as my PPT, it turns white. Please help! Thanks
 
Did you put the video in the same folder as PPT before you inserted it
into PPT?
