video mv2

I would like to know how to convert mv2 files so that I
can open them with windows media player or divx player or
mv2player.

I need to convert them into mpeg files i believe. I
can't seem to do this.

These are files created by an older version of mpg1. simply rename the file
extension to mpg and it should be accepted and recognized by the modern mpeg
codec. Also, you can download the VCR1 and VCR2 codecs from the ATI website
which will decode the files, and allow import into open editors.
