While attempting to play a game a message appeared that stated, 'directx is
reporting that there is not enough video memory to run game.' What does this
mean? How do I fix this?

Get a better video card.
Or..
At least give us more information about the specs of your computer system so
we can better determine what the issue might be.

For example..
CPU speed, memory amount, video card type/memory on it - or is your vide
memory shared with the main memory?

Don't know that? Try "Belarc Advisor".. Download, install and let it
analyze your system.. You chould be able to learn much about your hardware
from it. If you like - post the hardware (not software) information back
here when you are done.

But - most likely - you just need a better video card.

you could also look at the game options and reduce the graphics options such
as resolution or number of colours, that might help.

the game makers web site might have some advice too
