Video files AVI & MPG

Every time I try to select a folder or file that contains a video format I
get the following message "COM Surrogate has stopped working" Close file
must be selected over and over. The video flie must be take off the screen.
Can anyone help me out? I am using VISTA home per.

Hi Robert,

Do you have Nero installed on your PC, if you do, what version? I may have
some pointers for you to solve this problem.
