Video Editing S/W

David

I do not know if this is is the right place to ask, but
here goes.

I have recorded several tv programs to DVDs in DVD Video
mode. The issue is the commercials. I would like to edit
out the commercials like you use to be able to do on tape
and put it back on a DVD with out the commercials.

Is there any software that can do what I want, but at a
reasonable price?

I have a Compaq, running an Athlon 2600+ w/ 512 megs of
ram, 60 gig hd & S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR graphics card.

Thank you in advance for you help.

The free Movie Maker that is included with XP should be able to do
what you want. Also, Microsoft has a free upgrade to Movie Maker on
their download site. It's Movie Maker 2, an enhanced version with
some additional options and movie clips. A worthwhile download.

There are other commercial packages available for DVD editing and
Movie/video making. Pinnacle Studio is another excellent software
offering but usually costs around $80 to $90 at Best Buy. I would try
the free Movie Maker first.
