Video Card Using System Ram

I have 3gb of ram on my notebook with a 256mb nvidia card. Vista is taking
700mb and holding it for video ram.

Is there a way to tell Vista not to do this?

I do not want to have to upgrade to 64 bit and upgrade my ram to 4gb. If I
could get that 700mb back I would happy.

If your video card is onboard, then it naturally will use some of your
RAM. What tells you that Vista is "holding" 700mb?

Vista uses RAM in the System's best interests.
If required elsewhere, it will be utilised where it is required.
