video card problems

My last video card went bad and would display vertical
lines when trying to play a game. I sent it in and
recieve a new video card. I played a game once and it
work when I came back it was doing the same thing as the
last video card, the display will corrupt with vertical
lines when trying any video acceleration. Is it possible
my motherboard is hurting my video cards? I have and
asus a7v8x and a radeon 8500dv all-in-wonder.
Thanks brian

Have you checked your monitor? Maybe the resolution that your games and
video card supports is out of the range of the monitor.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to try updating your system as well as the drivers to
your RADEON card.
