Video card problem

Recently I started playing some online games and nothing was wrong. Now when
I play, after a minute or two lines start appearing from objects and
eventually my computer will freeze. The screen will go blank and nothing
happens. I tried to watch a video but the colours were all distorted. I have
the latest updates for my video drivers and the latest Windows updates.
Anyone got an idea how to fix this?

Since you've installed the latest drivers, it is time to look at the
hardware. Uninstall the video card and then swap it out for a
known-working one.

Here are some general hardware troubleshooting steps, but I would start
with the video card swap:

Is there any software that originally came with your video card that actively
displays hardware diagnostics, such as heat and fan speeds? Are you currently
overclocking any of your hardware?
