Video Capture with firewire problem

I have a Canon MV30 MiniDV Camcorder. I have installed my
OHCI compliant firewire card and Windows XP picks it up
and installs the drivers. Windows Movie Maker doesn't
recognise any video capture device? I've installed the
latest DirectX software, my camera works with other
systems and their firewire cards, is this an XP issue ?

Any ideas?
