Hi,

I wanted to make a presentation on my laptop and wanted to capture video
from one of the softwares and then integrate that with Microsoft PowerPoint.
Do you know if windows movie maker can do this (that is capture video) or do
i have to use some other tools.

Thanks in advance
Himanshu

Where is the video coming from?
MM can capture from a camcorder via firewire connection.

Hi Himanshu,

Yes it can. I connected the digital camcorder (Sony TRV22
Mini DV) to my PC via the firewire cable and Windows XP
was able to detect the camcorder. It will then ask you
what program you want to use. Just select Windows Movie
Maker and the rest is easy. It does take up a lot of disk
space though so make sure you have enough. Every 5
minutes of captured video would take up about 1GB of disk
space. Good luck on your presentation.
