Video Capture skips Audio

My Haupage 150 generates mpg files Movie Maker won't take so I used the
composite input to get video from my VCR instead. Movie Maker will accept
that video but there is no option to get the audio from the composite input.
How can this be worked around? Or is Movie Maker in need of a new release?

Also, some claim to use Movie Maker for U-Tube -- how do they put text
titles on their videos?

Thanks,
Kirk

Thanks, I'll check out your web referrals. Years ago I had ATI units which
worked with Movie Maker until they either burned out my computer (All In
Wonder) or just burned itself out (USB). So that tells me Hauppage wasn't a
good choice. It took a teenager showing me his UTube entry to realize I'm
still a novice at video.

Last night I found a way around the problem. I can capture video + audio
with the Hauppauge WinTV2000 and edit those files using Nero supplied with
the card which with correct selections produce .AVI files that can be
imported into Windows Movie Maker.
