Video Capture - PLEASE help!

I have a bt878 video capture card and have been trying to
capture single frames at 640x480.

A few sites on the internet suggested changing RGB to
different formats, for example YUV etc. When I changed it
to YUV9 (iirc), it froze and I had to press the reset
button on my PC.

Everytime I open any video capture application, it freezes
and I need to do a full restart.

Is there a way to getting to the video capture format
dialog (where you set dimensions and colours (such as
RGB)) to change it back to RGB so it will work?

ANY HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

Try rebooting in Safe Mode (press F8 during BIOS boot sequence).

Rebooting in safe mode doesn't help, because it won't load
the video capture card.

Reinstalling drivers won't work either.

ANY MORE IDEAS PLEASE ANYONE?

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the software?

Assuming it worked before, try shutting down, removing the card, restarting
then shut down again, reinstall the card and let Windows find it again.
