video added to PP slideshow

I created a slideshow to continuously loop and it works just fine until I
added two seperate videos. Each were created as a slide. Both videos play
fine when I run them through mplayer2.exe .

The slideshow will play just fine unti about halfway through the second
video the presentation stops and brings up slide number one, where it simply
sets on that slide and does nothing further. What am I doing wrong?

- What version of PowerPoint are you using?
- What format are the videos?
- How are videos set to play (on the animation pane)?

I am using powerpoint 2007.

The videos are in wmv format.

I think the video is set to play on the animation pane, but I really do not
know. As far as I can tell they are set to play in the same pane as the
other still picture slides. They were inserted using the movies tab. How do I
find out if I used an animation pane? I did set the time for the video using
the amination pane. Was that wrong?

Hi

Have you set the slide show to play in kiosk mode? Check in the slide
show -> set up show dialogue.

One more thought: Did you apply a time for the slide transition? If yes, try
to set the time a bit longer than the film is.

YES I DID SET A TIME FOR EACH SLIDE. I USED THE TIME THAT WAS STATED ON THE
COMPUTER WHEN I INITIALLY RAN EACH VIDEO THROUGH THE MPLAYER2.EXE. I WILL
TRY AGAIN USING A SLIGHTLY LONGER TIME LIMIT.

THIS IS MARK AGAIN. I INCREASED THE TIME OF THE FIRST VIDEO BY 5 SECONDS ON
THE ANIMATION. THE SAME THING HAPPENED. ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH THE VIDEO IT
STOPS AND DEFAULTS TO SHOWING SIDE NUBER ONE AND STAYS THERE DOING NOTHING.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONS?

Hi
If it is set to play in kiosk mode then this is expected behaviour - the
presentation will automatically return to slide 1 after 5 minutes of
inactivity. Change the setting to presented by an individual and see if that
works.

Oh and please turn off the caps lock - I'm sure you don't mean to be
shouting :)

Did you turn off kiosk-mode as Lucy suggested? And please, stop writing all
in capitals. It's hard to read and it means shouting at me.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry about the caps --- I thought it was a good
thing. I will try and change the kiosk mode and see what happens.

Thanks to all who responded to this problem. Your suggestions worked! When I
switched from kiosk to individual the video played and continued to loop
through the entire program.
