VHS VIDEO TO DVD

Hi hope some one has an answer for me. I have record a old vhs file to my
comp and I am trying to put it to DVD I have tried MM2 Studio 8 MGI My sonic
DVD but none will put it to dvd it either like in mgi transcodes and
everything freezes my sonic dvd says data complice failed MM2 also just
comes to a stop. What am I doing wrong. Use XP home, Pentium4 3ghz loads of
hard drive space ati all inwonder graphics
Any help would be appreciated. have been trying for days now and have wasted
4 dvd disks so far.

I have done this before and have had no probs. I do have a dvd-rw but it
would not write to that
