Very slow windows startup

When I reboot or boot my computer (Pentium III, 1mhz) the startup gets stuck
for a long time at the Blue opening screen which says "Windows starting up".
The only start up program is Zone Alarm (shown in Msconfig).

Is anything hold up the startup? How can I check what is starting up and
holding the computer back?

Hi Werner-This is NORMAL-your computer is just warming

up and loading it's programs. Do your eventually see
your desktop with any icons on it? Or you START button?
