I recently had worm/virus 'about blank' and a Trojan 'start page' problem.
Was able to eventually quarantine utilizing PC Tools Spy Doctor in the Safe
Mode. Since acquiring these viruses my system takes forever to load and is
generally not usable because ist is so slow. Almost like the drive is just
spinning and not reading anything. I also get the message that my virtual
memory is full. Never got this before the virus. Does anyone know what
happened and what should I look for to try and remedy my problem. I have a
Gateway 14.3 GB Pentium IV with 9.4 GB free space. My computer generally ran
really good before this virus.

You probably should perform a "clean install" of Windows XP
as it appears the viruses have damaged your system files.

Make certain your antivirus software is completely up to date, with
the virus definition files not less than a week old, and do a complete
scan of your computer. Then get a second opinion by doing a free
online virus scan at one of the free scanning web sites such as:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/

Then check your machine for spyware related items by following MVP Jim
Eshelman's Quick Fix Procedure at http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm

Good luck
