VERY slow logoff..

On several of our Win2k servers, we've seen that logoff times can be much
longer than expected (sometimes 10 minutes or more). All of the servers are
running Term Svcs. in remote administration mode, all running Win2k/SP4. If
you click start -> logoff, the icons disappear but the time it takes for the
system to actually logoff and close the Term session can last up to 30
minutes in some instances.

Has anyone seen this before?

OK, try this hotfix:

828326 - It takes longer than you expect to log off from a Terminal
Services session in Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828326

Phone Microsoft Support and ask for the specific hotfix. If you
don't ask other support questions during the call, you will get it
free and often within minutes.

The existing file versions are the same as the hotfix. Did they mean to
list the same file twice for the Win2k fix?

I suppose that it's possible that the files from the hotfix were
also included in a later Windows Update.
Aaaah, now I see what you mean: two identical file entries in the
KB article. Weird, must be a typo.
I'd call for the hotfix anyway and check what it contains.
