Very Dark video playback

I have a Ti4600 and have had it for a while, but I
noticed that when I play videos of any kind in ANY player
they are really dark. A can change the gamma and
brightness in the properites by right clicking on the
desktop but still have very little affect. How do I fix
these dark videos?

if you are using a nvidia card and drivers
right click desktop
porperties/settings/advanced/your cards menu
color correction
in this is a drop down menu (apply color setting to..)
saying desktop/overlay/full screen video etc etc
set yuor overlay or full screen video setting for brightness contrast etc
