very complicated conditional formating

i need it to be non-row specific, because that's how it has to be in th
conditional formatting box.

that's what all the ADDRESS calls were for in the previous one, it's s
that excel can parse it line by line and get a difefrent line numbe
each time

In my newsreader (Agent) it looks as if he is posting in the same thread as
previous messages between him and Frank.

I've noticed that for about the past month or so, posts
from excelforum (which is where the OP originated) are
often leading to fractured threads.

I think it's just the way that excelforum is linked to the
NG and as I noted, it's started happening about a month
ago.

Hi
if you selects rows 1 to 7 for example and enter my suggested formula
Excel will automatically adapt the row index. Just try it :-)
