Microsoft Defender suddenly detected a high risk threat it refers to as
vertumonde.G and prompts me to remove, ignore etc. I select remove all,
which it seems to do. It then prompts for a reboot. I comply and upon
reboot it reports the threat again and again as the process is repeated. I
find many references to the "spyware" threat on the web but not one on the
Defender support site. Please help!!

Actually, I find this post and other similar ones very encouraging, since
as little as two weeks ago WD was not detecting Vurtumonde/Vundo malware.
Now we have multiple detections and that's great news, though unfortunately
not for the posters themselves. Thanks Ms, for getting those signature
definitions in.

Since there is no official Ms support for the Beta beyond these forums,
I've got to suppose you mean no reference in these forums, yet I count 34
posts dealing with "Virtumonde", 42 for "Virtumondo", and 145 for the word
"Vundo", many with removal references though none with detection previous
to the present ones.
