Veiwing email attachments

I need to know what a graphics conversion filter is. This is the message I
get when I try to view some picture attachments sent to me via email :
" Unable to download the graphics conversion filter to view this file" does
anyone know why this is happening and how to fix this problem, please?

i've got a Packard Bell EasyNote laptop. with Windows XP, I can't find
anything on this filter in the troubleshooter, so not sure what to do now.
can anyone enlighten me please. Is this filter something I have to and buy
and install? If so where to I get one and how much does it cost?

It depends. What kind of graphics file is it? What program do you use to
access e-mail?

File types in windows are typically determined by the 3 letter file
extension in the file name. For example. "picture.jpg" would indicate a
jpeg graphics file, whichmost web browsers can open natively. "Picture.gif"
would be a gif file.
