vcard

Prior to installing the new service pack, when I attached a vcard to an
e-mail, it attached as a .vcf file, now it attaches as a .msg file and the
recipients cannot open it. I use outlook 2002. Any suggestion to convert
them back to .vcf?

After clicking "new message", I would click on the tiny down drop box arrow
next to the paper clip; click on "item"; select the contact I wish to attach,
and click "ok"... This saves it as a .msg file. I have discovered ,
subsequent to my message to you, that if I change the message to rich text
format, it allows the contact to be put in the body of the message where in
the past, it would be in the attachment field as a v-card (.vcf), which is
what I would like to happen again. Sorry if this description is convoluted,
is my question clear?

So, you didn't attach a vCard (i.e. a .vcf file) at all. You attached an actual Outlook contact item. If the message is in RTF format, the recipient will indeed be able to open that attachment as a contact item. It is still now, however, a vCard. To send an actual vCard, you need to either save the contact as a .vcf file and then attach it to a mail message or use the Forward as vCard command.

1) Select a contact.
2) Click Actions.
3) Click Forward as vCard.
