vCard Association

Another program has substituted itself for the program associated with
vCards. I thought it would be a matter to go into folder options to
change the association for .vcf back to outlook, but I have not been
able to do so. In fact, I cannot locate outlook.exe. Is it hidden? How
do I re-associate .vcf with Outlook (2000)?

Have you checked under C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office?

I assume you have a shortcut to Outlook on your desktop? Right-click on it,
and select "Properties" - that'll tell you where it is.

Right-click on a .vcf file, select "Open with..." then select Outlook, and
make sure the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
box is ticked. Hope that does the trick.

It's there, and I have made the change. I wonder why outlook.exe did not
show up in the search? In any case, after I made the change, the default
button offers to change the association back to the non-Outlook program.
While it's not a problem, I am curious as to where the default is set.
My guess is that it is in the registry.

Thanks for the help.
