vba code disappearing

after writing a vba code in excel
a message appeared "cant load this form"
I then closed the excel file
(I had saved a few times before)

when I opened it again the message was
"Errors occured during load"
after that
"cant load or unload this object"
and then
"visual basic project is lost"

when I looked for the code, it was gone

can anyone tell me why this happend?
is there a way to find the code again?

somehow you seem to have corrupted the xcel file
(difficult to say for what reason). AFAIK no chance to get
the code back (if you don't have made backups)
