VB Express 2008

Hi,

I just re-installed VB Express 2008, in the hope that it will finally be
working properly with Vista 64 and SQL Express2008.

But now the only thing that work is the main interface, but I can not to
anything with it since the damn thing does not work with SQL Express 2008 ,
and it does not let me do a thing

What can I do to fix this

BTW I downloaded the installation ISO file from MS a few days ago

Telling us that "the damn thing does not work" isn't specific enough for us
to be able to help you.

What are your system specs?
What are you trying to do and how did you try to do it?
What (if any) errors are you receiving?
What did you do to try to resolve the issue(s)?

Did you install SP1? Without SP1, VS 2008 will not work with SQL 2008.

System Spec : Vista 64

I am trying to make SQL Express 2008 and VB Express 2008 work together
again, ever since Windows Update tried to install SP1 for the SQL, nothing
works, I had to un-install SQL and then re-install the whole thing all over
again, now SQL Express 2008 does start, but none of the VB Express 2008 can
connect to the server

The error that I recieved is that it can not connect to SQL

I re-installed VB Express 2008, and it still does not work, it even refuse
to open any project, or to create any new one because there is no SQL
connection

I have re-install VB Express 2008 from a brand new download from Microsoft,
which already containt SP1

The exact error message being ? I don't remember to have seen VB trying to
automatically connect to SQL Server when trying to create or open a
project...

The error message is that it can not open the connection, and then nothing
happen, I can not do anything
