VB Application stoped working after SP installation

I could not find a W2k3 server group so I'm posting here.

We have a VB application on a W2k3 Terminal Server that communicates with a
MS SQL Server database located on another W2k server. After I install SP1 on
the W2k3 server, the VB app is no longer able to communicates with the SQL
server. Since this app depends on the data housed in the SQL server, it
times out eventually and shuts down.

I tried MS KB and the Web, but cannot seam to find anything in that regard.
Can any one point me in the right direction or know of a solution to this
problem.
